Image Preprocessing for Outdoor Luminescence Inspection of Large Photovoltaic Parks

چکیده

Electroluminescence (EL) measurements allow one to detect damages and/or defective parts in photovoltaic systems. In principle, it seems possible predict the complete current/voltage curve from such pictures even automatically. However, a precise analysis requires image corrections and calibrations, because vignetting lens distortion cause signal spatial distortions. Earlier works on crystalline silicon modules used cell gap joints (CGJ) as calibration pattern. Unfortunately, this procedure fails if detection of gaps is not accurate or contrast images low. Here, we enhance automated camera algorithm with reliable pattern analyze quantitatively quality process. Our method uses an iterative Hough transform line structures three key figures (KF) separate detected busbars gaps. This allows identification all gaps, noisy disconnected edges PV cells exist potential induced degradation leads low between active area background. our dataset, subset 30 EL (72 each) forming grid (5×11) lead consistent results. We apply process 997 single module evaluate results random 40 images. After correction perspective correction, residual deviation ideal target points previously CGJ after applied correction. For 2200 control evaluation images, achieve less than equal 3 pixels. 50% points, 1 pixel reached.

Vehicle Detection for Outdoor Car Parks using IEEE802.15.4

Cruising for parking has negative impact from the economical and ecological points and view, and in overall traffic slowdown. Effective information about which and how many parking places are free could help to reduce these effects. This is possible only if a per parking place motorization is made, which will require the use of sensors to monitor every parking place. While the placement of sens...

Image preprocessing for CBIR system

This article describes the way in which image is prepared for content-based image retrieval system. Our CBIR system is dedicated to support estate agents. In our database there are images of houses and bungalows. All efforts have been put into extracting elements from an image and finding their characteristic features in the unsupervised way. Hence, the paper presents segmentation algorithm bas...

Bacteriological analysis of indoor and outdoor water parks in Wisconsin.

Water parks are a rapidly growing element of the United States tourist industry. To reduce incidence of abrasion and impact injuries in such parks, designers are searching for padding materials that can withstand the harsh oxidative environments of chlorinated water. Although padded features help reduce physical injuries, they may also compromise the microbiological safety of water attractions....

Managing Outdoor Recreation: Case Studies in the National Parks

All those who have had the opportunity to enter Yellowstone National Park through its north entrance have been met with the unmistakable Roosevelt Arch. Its message represents to all visitors a critical mandate of the national park system: “For the benefit and enjoyment of the people.” However, this is not the only imperative for the national park system and its managers. The 1916 Organic Act a...

Radar Image Preprocessing

Standard image processing techniques are not applicable to radar images because of the coherent nature of the sensor. Therefore there is a need to develop preprocessing techniques for radar images which will then allow these standard methods to be applied. A random field model for radar image data is developed. This model de~ cribes the image data as the result of a mult1plicative-convolved pr...
